 Business, labor and government authorities have agreed that wide-ranging people skills are necessary for 20th Century work success (SCANS).

Research has found that young people who develop speaking/listening skills not only have improved classroom behavior, but also less self-destructive and violent behavior (UNESCO). From the continual reports of incivility, unproductive outbursts, violent relations and missing community, there is a huge need to increase the range of people skills. And meeting that need requires innovations that motivate and enable better communications.
